6 Month Dr. Appointment

Yesterday, Leighton had his 6 Month check up. He was 17 punds and 12 ounces, which is the 5oth percentile and he was 27.5 inches long, which was the 75th percentile. His head and chest both measured 17.5 inches. The doctor felt his stomach muscles and said he was an extremely strong little boy and was impressed at his abilities. I didn't need the doctor to tell me that he was exceptional, I already knew he was the best and most amazing boy in the whole world.

DTC Fall Retreat

Leighton had his first camping trip. We went to the Boone Y Camp for the DTC fall retreat. Leighton liked being outside!

A pastor from Omaha, Rory Whitney spoke. It was great. We had three sessions called MY WALK, MY CHURCH, and MY MISSION. It was so good to hear about making a commitment to GOD (reading, praing, meditating, memorizing scripture, seeking God in the morning, etc), to the local CHURCH (commiting to the local body, serving, attending everything, going to give and not get, giving financially, etc), and lastly a commitment to the Great ComMISSION (to make disciples of all nations, bring glory to god by living in obedience and living righteously).

He has discovered his tongue and makes bubbles and spits!

He was so happy the first night, giggling and smiling.

My Daddy Loves Me

I am so blessed to have these men in my life. I love being a husband to Luke and a mother to Leighton. No matter what a given day may bring, with these two in my life I am reminded of all that I have to be thankful for.

Psalm 127:3-5
'Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior's hands. How joyful is a man who's quiver is full of them!

Leighton is Officially Sitting Up

Leighton now sits up very well on his own. When he falls to a side he is able to catch himself with his hands and get into crawling position!

Kunzie/Weeks Wedding

We had a good time at our friends' wedding. It was the first wedding that Pastor Dan Rude did and it was the most god-honoring wedding I have ever been to. Leighton loved the glow necklaces that they handed out and even got to dance with 3 year old Ava Garrison! It was fun to celebrate another wedding and be reminded of how much God has done in our lives since our wedding just over a year ago. God is a difference maker in our lives!

Leighton is Army Crawling

Leighton is close to crawling, but seems content just army crawling instead since it effortlessly and efficiently gets him to were he wants to go. Where does he want to do exactly? Cords, outlets, vents, shoes, and occassionally a toy!

Outdoor Photo Shoot Part 2

So adorable!

Outdoor Photo Shoot Part 1

Leighton wouldn't smile for me, but I got some cute ones anyway. I had to change him when we got inside because he was full of dirt and grass!

Leighton Sits A Little

Leighton sat up for a short amount of time! He is very unstable most of the time but on a rare occassion he can impress! I usually put him in his bobby pillow so that it he falls the pillow suppots and/or catches him. I suppose it is possible for him to fall forward but his tummy might be too big for that!
