Extra Dirty & Extra Clean

EXTRA DIRTY

Last week we enjoyed watching snow melt and mud form! We had a great time playing outside! McCabe got some new rubber boots which were definitely neccessary for him in the mud and puddles! He loved his boots so much he cried every time we took them off his feet. and after we cleaned them off, he wanted to put them back on to wear around the house!

Crashing into the tree was a favorite activity!

I got Leighton to stop and smile for one pictures. Trust me, this is a big deal! Isn't he precious. Despite the fact that he dislikes being dirty he thoroughly loves being outside.

EXTRA CLEAN
After we getting dirty and a little cold during the day time, the boys spent their evenings in the warm bath tub! That really like watching the water come out of the faucet and really love a new bath toy from grandma and grandpa Ludemann that is a constant faucet that runs all throughout the bath time reusing the bathwater. They LOVE it!

This Week

A few highlights and happenings from the last week ...

In our dining room, hangs an arrangement of 4 beautiful pictures of my children. Last night at dinner Leighton told me that I needed to get a picture of his friend Quinn and hang it up there too!

Leighton pooped in the toilet and said, "When daddy gets home, I can tell daddy I pooped in the toilet and he will be so proud!"

McCabe started to like Chocolate Milk.

McCabe got croup.

McCabe learned the word Bible and Occasionally asks me if I need it.

Leighton's new favorite meal for the week has been soup. Not brothy soup, but really chuncky, really thick cheesy, potato, and ham soup.

Leighton and McCabe LOVE beef sticks and ask for them breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Mommy, and ALL 3 kids enjoyed a swimming party in the bathtub complete with bathing suits, beach towels and splashing!

Leighton or McCabe has woken up BEFORE me 5 out of the last 6 days and has come upstairs to snuggle ... and COUGH, right by mommy! Besides starting my day a little bit behind, it is such a great way to wake up.

Brooks is sitting up in his bumbo chair very well.

Leighton has to hug and kiss Brooks every night before bed and hugs and kisses him every morning saying, "Goodmorning Brooksy!"

McCabe's most used phrase has been, "Teighton, Come" and is coupled with the come hand motion.

Leighton has decided that napping is a choice and has chosen not to partake in it. Actually, one day he'll sleep 2 hours and I have to wake him up at the end of it and then the next day he won't take a nap at all.

Leighton tells his trains that they are disobeying when they don't do something that another train 'asks' them to do.

Leighton tries to hug and kiss McCabe when he is trying to say sorry for taking a toy or hitting him. McCabe HATES this more than the original offense!

Leighton, McCabe, & Brooks each make me smile and laugh everyday and I am as thrilled as ever to be their mommy.
