Leighton's 4th Birthday

Leighton had a wonderful 4th birthday. It was a fun filled week.

We started out going to the Cheesecake Factory as a family for lunch during the week.

Then later in the week, my parents came from Minnesota to treat him to his choice, PF Changs. He loves the while rice and sweet and sour chicken. And for a guy who isn't very big on desserts, he keeps talking about his chocolate mouse dessert!

He got at least one card per day for 5 days in a row! How exciting! He opened all of them by himeself, keeping the stickers, and putting the cash in the trash! Oops.

He got to celebrate with all 4 grandparents on Saturday, where he blew out two 4 candles on his green brownie fish cake and spent considerable time outside practicing on his new scooter.

McCabe did a great job being excited for Leighton. He shared the new things pretty well!

And Brooks loved being outside. Outside is one of his favorite new words. His vocabulary doubles every few days so it is exciting to be around him.

Another birthday celebration with Grandma Nancy and Papa Phil.

And more scooter practice!

This is Leighton trying to hold up 4 fingers!

Eating Lunch is Hard Work

Simply Irresistible

I love snuggling my little guys!

Dessert Nights

Tuesday family days sometimes conclude with Tuesday dessert nights. Last night we went to eat frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf.

McCabe, Brooks and I shared a chocolate and cookie combination. Luke and Leighton enjoyed a fruity and gummy worm combination. Typical!

Walking

This spring has been so beautiful. We have spent so much time going on walks; Which always involves a stop at the bridge to throw sticks in the river!

Handsome Brooks

Mmmmmm Mud

Playing Games

We have been playing a lot of games around here. It is a great way to unwind in the evenings! I am undefeated at slap jack but lose most of the time that we play candy land, cootie, go fish, sorry, memory, or the lady bug game.

Coffee Shop

Yesterday, I asked McCabe what he wanted to do that day. He replied, "oh I have to go to work at the coffee shop."

I text messaged Luke to tell him the story and He spontaneously responded that he had a free hour and asked if we wanted to go to the coffee shop and see him in the middle of the day!

It was soooo much fun!

This is a picture of Leighton and McCabe attacking Luke with kisses while Brooks said , "hi," to everyone, and I sipped on a Minty Mocha Shake! It was an enjoyable unexpected family date with Luke.

Zoo

We took our first trip to the zoo this year. Brooks was able to get out and help feed the goats. He actually spent the whole time either trying to feed himself the goat food (as you can see below) or barking at the goats!

We had a great time getting outisde and seeing animals!
