State Fair

The Iowa State Fair was a very fun experience for the boys.  Wynnlee slept her way through several hours in the heat while the boys looked at horses, cows and pigs, went down the slide, ate some delicious food, and enjoyed trying and seeing new things.  

In the morning, when we informed the boys what we were doing that day, Leighton left the room.  Hmmm.  He returned with his oversized cowboy boots!  Unfortunately he was unable to wear them because they were too big.  Plus with no room in the stroller he had to walk the entire time.  But it was cute!  Luke did wear his cowboy boots!

Leighton braved the slide with Luke.  A very cautious boy he is!  It was hard to tell that he even enjoyed it because he was very cautious and trying to hold on tight.  The smile hit when they stopped moving at the bottom.

McCabe tried the slide an hour after we were there the first time!  As we were about to leave the fair, McCabe decided he did indeed want to try the cool slide. so we went back and let him do it!

 

 

 

We were very very late for nap time.  Actually Brooks was early for nap time.  He fell asleep sitting up in the front seat of the stroller right after lunch.  He was so sweet.  Nothin' like a head bobbing toddler in a stroller at the fair!
