Sleeping in His Jumper

Leighton is normally very active in his jumper, and he usually stays awake for about 3 hours in the morning when he wakes up, but today, he was only awake for about a half hour, I put him in his jumperoo so that I could get in some prayer time. Soon I noticed he was rather quiet, so I walked over and found him sleeping in it.

Pumpkin Carving Bible Study

For Monday night bible study, we carved pumpkins. Leighton didn't get to help very much, but Luke did a fantastic job!

Standing in His Crib

Leighton is pulling himself all over the place now. He especially likes to do it in his crib, which makes nap time very hard!

7 Month Birthday

Leighton is 7 months old! I can't believe that he is already that old. This age is amazing, but I am excited to see what happens in the next 7 months too!



We all went to the mall today to start some early christmas shopping. Leighton was a typical guy ... totally uniterested in the mall. He fell asleep way before his nap time.

Leighton Pulled Himself Up

I was scrapbooking Leighton's baby book today. I looked over at where he had been playing and he was standing up by the couch. He had pulled himself up from the floor to standing position and wasn't even woobly when I looked over at him. I sprinted over to him, thinking he would fall any second and get hurt, but when I got there he just looked at me and smiled, keeping his balance. His smile was begging the question, "Mommy aren't you proud of me?"

Time is flying by and he keeps having more and more firsts. I am so grateful to get to stay home with him everyday so I don't have to miss these little things. I love the job of being his mom and from what I can tell, her really likes being my son too!

My New Toy

Leighton got a new toy at a consignment sale yesterday. He loved it.

Pumpkin Patch

Leighton and I went to the pumpkin patch with lots of other moms and babes from church. We got to go with Yvonne and Noah, Ashley and Ava, Teresa and Kai, Sarah and Mason, Meg and Quinn, and Jill and Hannah.

V-Neck

A friend helped me make one of Leighton's onsies into a V-Neck. It was fun to have him wear it because Luke wears them A LOT!

It was a beautiful day (unlike last year)! We didn't even plan to all wear white!

Bathtub!

Leighton loves taking baths. I let him play until he is pruned and the water starts getting too cold.
