This is My Son ...

This is my Son McCabe and with him I am well pleased!

Lincoln Logs

Leighton learns very quickly. We have played Lincoln Logs a few times and now he is a building machine!

I was wetting a letter to a friend and I looked over to see Leighton had built this tower complete with windows, a roof and chimneys.

During that time McCabe was using the tin Lincoln Log can as a drum, either on the floor or on his head while belting out church worship songs.

Simply delightful!

Bath Nights

I love bath nights. The boys are all sitting still for a prolonged period of time! Which means I am sitting for a prolonged period of time.

I usually spend the time singing songs with them while cleaning the bathroom an then working on memorizing my passage from the bible for the week.

Leighton usually spends the time asking questions about sea animals. You know good questions like: which ones eat which ones or which ones live in the deep and which ones jump above the surface.

McCabe usually has toys in his mouth. He always has an eye on me hoping I'll look away and he can drink a dolphin full of warm dirty bath water.

Brooks walks the edges trying to knock all the soaps and shampoos off the ledge or steal the sea animals from his brother and throw them as far out of the tub as he can.

And afterwards, I love to look at their pruned hands and feet, put a supersized portion of baby lotion on them, and read books for an hour.
