A Wonderful 'Crummy' Wedding

Luke looks so handsom in a tux!

Luke was a groomsman in Allie Metcalf and Matt Crummy's Wedding. We had a great time. We loved the ceremony at the DTC, the great reception and we defintely enjoyed Allie and Matt sing songs with the live band. My parents were there too. They loved dancing to the live band and listening to jazz music ... though I think they really traveled here to see the grandkids!

More of the Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch

Leighton, McCabe and I went to the pumpkin patch today with some of our friends. We went with Alaina, Nichole and a few others moms as well.

I love getting the opportunity to be with my boys all day and getting to see them enjoy new things.

Washing Dishes

Leighton loves to wash the dishes. He stands on his chair, fills the bowls and cups and dumps them out again. The dishes get rinsed really well!

Watchin' Sunday Night Football

McCabe & Daddy cuddling again. This time they are enjoying Sunday Night Football after a long day.

Leighton Rolling McCabe Over

Leighton has learned how to roll McCabe over ...
Step 1: Get your right hand under his back and start pushing...
Step 2: Keep pushing while helping his hips get over ....
Step 3: Give one last hard push and keep a good follow threw ...
It is really funny to watch and McCabe doesn't seem to care too much! We don't really let it happen too often, but Leighton would play with him like a new toy if we let him.

Cooking with Grandma & Grandpa Hukee

We finally found a way to get Leighton to sit still: put him on the counter and give him a few utensils to play with and some cooking to watch. He loves to learn about stirring, pouring, washing, and especially eating. Every good cook snacks while cooking!

McCabe and Daddy

Luke loves to cuddle with his boys! Leighton doesn't stop running and playing so its hard to get him to cuddle. McCabe on the other hand always welcomes it! In fact, some times he even demands it! McCabe definately prefers to be held and loves to be upright where he can see everything. He is content to cuddle and watch Leighton run around and Leighton is content to be watched and to be the one running around.

Insulation ... and more Insulation

Luke is an incredibly hard working husband.

Saturday morning Luke left the house at 5:30am. He went to Lowes at 6:00am to rent a machine that blows insulation into walls. The machine is free for only one day with the purchase of 20 bags of insulation. He and his friend Jeremy drilled holes between all the wood studs in the entire house and then blew insulation into them. They did this until church at 7pm. Then immediately after church, they returned to work at the house. Jeremy stayed until 10pm, at which point Caleb Thompson took over as the helper. They worked until 6:30am, just passing the 24 hours mark.

At this point, the holes were all drilled so all they needed to do was have ONE person blow the insulation in. I asked Luke, "What was the second person there for if all the holes were drilled already?" and respond, "moral support!"

Instead of going to sleep, they went to have breakfast at McDonalds because the machine had to be returned to Lowes right when it opened at 8am. Luke took a half hour nap at McDonalds and then returned the machine. He returned to me and the boys at 8:45am.

I am so thankful for such an amazing husband. He has worked so hard at getting our house ready to move into. I am so thankful for him and his work ethic.
