FORT
This has been a very cold and snowy winter. We are thankful for the snow, the beautiful trees, the snow days we get to have together as a family, and for opportunities to learn to thrive in the confines of our home. I want my kids thrive in the environment of our home and not always have to be out and entertained all the time. So we have taken advantage of being inside. Today we built a FORT! Leighton loved it.
He loved crawling threw it, bringing his toys into it, and making luke and I go in it.
Of course destroying it was fun too!

Tool Man
Leighton loves to use his tools. I think it is a good excuse to bang on things really hard and make noise. As luke fixes things around the house, Leighton loves to get his tool belt on and help Luke.
Leighton is very serious about helping, fixing, and using tools. Leighton likes to find all the screws in absolutely anything and try to unscrew them.
With the winter continuing I am glad that he gets very into some of his toys. Plus it is adorable to watch.

Luke Speaking
Luke is speaking at the DownTown Church this weekend! We are encouraged and delighted to see the Lord continue to use Luke.
I have spent the day trying to teach Leighton to say, "Good Job Daddy," for when he is done! But since we want the congregation to listen to Luke more than to Leighton's chatter, he wont be there. Meg has graciously offered to add one more kid to her evening. She invited Leighton to spend the evening with Quinn and the Twins at the Rude household, so that I am able to listen to my wonderful Hubby speak. What a great friend and servant! Thanks Meg. This makes two nights in a row of Leighton and Quinn hanging out!

Leighton and Puzzles!
Leighton is the smartest 22 month old in the world!
I have greatly enjoyed this last month with Leighton. He is a wiz at his puzzles and he is starting to talk a lot more! I love that he communicates with me!
He is also quite athletic: dribbling basketballs, shooting basketballs (making more than half of his shots), and probably running a couples miles a day around the house from room to room.
The winter is getting a little long, but my boys make our days of hybernating inside enjoyable and full of laughs.

McCabe is Army Crawling
McCabe started army crawling! We are just as proud of McCabe's acheivements as we were of Leighton's. It is fun to watch our boys grow up. I think it is going by so fast... too fast! We consider ourselves so blessed to have 2 happy and healthy children!
