Brooks' 6 Month Check-Up

Brooks had his 6 month check-up today. He had 4 shots. Just like Leighton, he cried & wanted a hug from mommy. Again, I obliged. According to the charts, my growing brooks is tall and slender and had the following statistics:

Weight: 15 lbs 6 oz (12%)
Height: 27.5 in (80%)

They said he was not gaining enough weight. But he has fat rolls! Thats confusing! I think he's perfect! We are so thankful for each and ever healthy check-up for each and every baby! Praise the Lord for my healthy Brooks!

Leighton's 3 Year Check Up

Leighton went to the Doctor today for a 3 year check-up! He had 1 shot and tried so hard to be tough but eventually tears streamed down his face and he needed a good long hug. I was happy to oblige. I was so proud of my growing man who put up these stats:

Height: 39 in (81%)
Weight: 34 lbs (72%)

I am so thankful for each and every healthy check-up. Thank you Lord for a healthy boy! :)

Splitting Hostas

Last year we had 5 GIANT hostas. Hopefully this year we will have 12 or 13 normal sized hostas.

McCabe loved the mud. Leighton loved watering.

Shirtless Basketball

The other night the boys were playing basketball and got very sweaty! So I took off Leighton and McCabe's shirts. It was too cute ... so off came Brooks' too. And then came the camera!

Leighton & Daddy Playing Baseball

Leighton is a coordinated and athletic boy. I am very thankful for our large backyard, sport toys and a daddy to chase/catch all the balls!

Leighton & Daddy Playing Soccer

There is something so sweet about watching a daddy play with his son. Luke got to play soccer with Leighton yesterday while I read and McCabe and Brooks napped. Whenever Luke tried to steal the ball away from him, Leighton would crouch down and told the ball with hands ... we'll eventually have to teach him that that isn't exactly legal!

Sweet Boys

I think my boys are so precious! These pictures may all look the same to you, but not to a mother! I just had to post all of them! Leighton and Brooks were very similar babies. I tend to think that they look a like as well, but who really knows!

I just had to post this one below. When you ask McCabe to smile, he closes his eyes really tight everytime! They best part is that afterwards he will start laughing because I start laughing and sometimes I can manage to get a smilying shot in.

Leighton doesn't seem enthused about these pictures but let me tell you, he somehow managed to smily most of the time ... except when I took the picture. And he was so proud of himself after the photo shoot. He was always very excited about getting to hold Brooks.

I couldn't get McCabe to lean in closer for a picture unless I told the boys to kiss Brooks!

I adore my kids! They are so wonderful and unique and special! In the words of a country song I think they are so, "kissable, huggable, loveable, unbelievable!"
