Brooks is 5

Brooks turned 5.  And instead of saying the usual, "I can't believe he is 5 already," I find myself thinking, "He is ONLY five?"  He has been playing with his brothers and doing the stuff with them for so long that I seems so much older than 5. 

He is a such a fun five year old.  What a wonderful boy we get to celebrate!  Still blonde as can be, this charmer is always trying to get a laugh out of others, or a reaction out of mom.  I can't figure out which one he is going for yet!   He is cleaver.  And by cleaver, I mean overtime I ask him to pick up, he usually finds crafty ways to avoid doing the work, by getting a drinking, going to the bathroom, mysteriously disappearing, or my favorite, offering to go clean the office, where there isn't any work to be done. He is thoughtful.  He regularly asks me if I want any water to drink.  And ohhh what a cuddle. When the  night comes, he is right up next to Luke or I snuggling in!  

I am so delighted to be his mom!

Center Grove Orchard

It really wouldn't be fall without a trip to Center Grove Orchard.  We chose sunny but windy day to jump in the corn, bounce on the large pillow, slide down the slide, feed some animals, drive some tractors, take a tractor ride and of course walk out with some apply cider donuts.  

Neve is Sitting

Neve, my tiniest darling, is sitting up on her own.  I love her so very much.  Seriously, the pride I have when she reaches a milestone is so strong.  I just want to pick her right back up and snuggle her.  You guys, I can't explain it, but she is such a joy and a gift from God.

Neve's First Tooth

Neve's 1st Tooth showed itself this evening.  How exciting!

The other kids are so excited about it.  They all try to stick their grimy little fingers in her smiling mouth to ry to feel it or see it.  They all love her so much.  It is fun having a baby with kids who are slightly older this time.  They have really taken in interest in her life and certainly care for her very well.

Neve's First Food

Neve had her first taste of food today.  

She ate half of a soft boiled egg yoke!  She enjoyed it tremendously.  Of all five kids, she was the quickest to take to food, at least on day one.  She wanted more and more and smiled through the whole thing.  

I hope to get around to posting a picture of it.  

Neve - 6 Months

Neve went in for a check up today!  She was healthy and growing and meeting milestones.
