Chicago
Leighton and I enjoyed our first trip to chicago for a friends wedding. The dinner was fantastic, a filet mignon and jumbo shimp! It was a great night to spend with a bunch of friends! Traveling wasn't so hard on Leighton when he was really little because he slept the whole car ride and didn't realize that he wasn't in his house. The trips are getting progressively harder but we try our best to still keep him on a schedule. He is a pretty good baby though!

After Leighton spit up all over Carla Richey's pants, the boys took over. Jess is holding Leighton with our good friends Jon Crane and Darrin. For the rehersal dinner we ate chicago style pizza and then got a 2 hour double decker bus tour of the city. Leighton screemed for most of it but finally went to sleep at the very end of tour.

Touring Chicago
Luke carried Leighton from the rehearsal to the rehearsal dinner in the streets of chicago.
Leighton enjoying being carried around chicago!

Luke and I and a very sad Leighton in the back of the double decker tour bus. Leighton creid almost the whole 2 hour trip until he crashed and slept for the last 20 minutes.

The sky line was beautiful. I wished we should have been in Chicago longer because it was such a quick trip and we didn't get to expereice the city very much.

1st Anniversary
Luke and I Celebrated our first anniversary yesterday. We dropped Leighton off at Bruce and Julie's. It was very hard to leave Leighton.
We went to an afternoon movie at Jordan Creek. We saw Kung Fu Panda which was a really funny movie. We laughed quite a bit. We had a wonderful dinner at Centro and then walked around downtown.
We went back to pick Leighton up before it was dark. We just really wanted to see him and couldn't stay away anylonger.

Quiet Time
Proverbs 13 says that "he who walks with the wise becomes wise." One of the greatest goals we have is that Leighton would walk intimately with Christ. I am so thankful that he has a dad who does and will get to spend much time with him.
Luke is doing his quiet time here and already bringing Leighton up in the Lord. We pray for him everyday and can't wait to see what the Lord does in his life. Praise the Lord that Leighton has an amazing Father who fears the Lord and who look sto Christ for help in raising him. Without the Lords help we know that we will fail as parents.
