Family Night at Saylorville

We love driving up to the lookout spots at Saylorville Lake above the dam. We let the kids out of their car seats so they can come up front with us in the van. And then we watch the sunset and the boats on the water.

Luke and I always get in some great - and pretty much uninterrupted - talking time on the 20 min drive there and we definitely love the memories of the whole gang in the front seats. The trip is usually complete with a bathroom stop at a gas station for Leighton or McCabe on the way home.

Thought these pictures of our last trip there were too good not to share. Enjoy!
