Brooks' Weight Check

This past month, we have started feeding Brooks baby food at lunch and dinner. He took so well to it. Mixing the baby food with rice cereal made for a smoother transition that we experienced with his brothers.

He loves to eat!

Yesterday we had his weight chekcup. He grew 2 pounds 3 ounces this past month. Here are his stats:

Weight: 17 lbs 6 oz (3%)
Height: 28.5 inches (39%)

We are so proud of him!

McCabe's 1st Food

McCabe had his first bite of green beans. Do not be deceived by the picture, he doesn't like it. He doesn't cry much, he just spits it out and smiles, and then refuses to open his mouth!

Leighton Feeding Himself

Our BIG BOY is feeding himself already and it isn't too messy either. He loves the idea of using utensils like mom and dad! We are impressed at how much he actually gets on the spoon and up to his mouth! This allows me to be a little more free during meal time. More free to hold McCabe that is ... not necessarily more free to eat dinner myself!

Leighton Meets McCabe

Leighton came to the hospital tonight to meet his brother. He did okay! I think he was a little confused and didn't like that I was in bed.

Being a big brother, though hard at first, will produce in Leighton such amazing qualities like love, the ability to put others first (share), and the blessing of being united in friendship! Hopefully these qualities don't take too long to produce!

First Baby Food Experience: Carrots

Leighton did not like the carrots. He cried and cried and after about 5 bites Luke rescued him. Leighton wouldn't come to me or even look at me for about 10 minutes. But after 10 minutes he was able to forgive me. I should learn from Leighton and try to be more quick to forgive people myself!
