She's My Blue Eyed Girl

A few more months left with only one lady in the bathtub.  Pretty soon she will be sharing the tub, the toys, the stickers and eventually the clothes with her little sister pie.

Bath Time

Every one of my kids loves bath time!

It is a little crowded, but no one complains!

Grandma Julie makes me feel a little bit guilty about not giving Wynnlee her own, 'clean water' bath, but I swear she would climb in with them even if I tried to keep her out.  I think she still leaves the bath cleaner than when she went in.  Right?

I texted this picture to Luke while he was at one of our Saturday night church services.  His response was, "exciting times!!"  And indeed they are.  I am so excited about being their mom and getting to experience every detail of their lives!

New Bath Mate

Brooks has started taking baths with his brothers. Leighton & McCabe enjoy having him in there and this he is a blast. He is a wild splasher in the tub and is quite entertaining.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub 3 Men in a TUB!

Bath time is very enjoyable at our house. Leighton and McCabe could sit in the Tub for hours and the water is usually really cold by the time they get out. They have especially enjoyed it when they get to take a bath with Brooks too! Rub-a-Dub-Dub 3 Men in a TUB!

Leighton and McCabe like to watch me give Brooks a bath, which they call, 'helping'! And Brooks only cries when he gets out of the warm water and into the cold air! Brooks enjoys bathing and is very content sitting there. Bathing all three boys at once has turned out to work quite well. Now if only I could figure out how I can enjoy a warm bubble bath in a jetted tub during all of this!
Look at how precious he is ...

He is growing so quickly and is already 3 weeks old! We can't believe how fast time flies at our house. We have already been discussing Thanksgiving and Christmas plans which is crazy! We are doing our best to soak in all these precious memories while time is escaping us.

Team Bath

Leighton and McCabe took their first bath together. Leighton was trying to be very helpful; He even helped me get McCabe wet and then wash the soap off by filling his bath toys with water and dumping it on McCabe. You can see Leighton's servanthood in action below ...

We love these little guys sooooooooooooooooooo much!

Happy Birthday McCabe Brooks

Happy Birthday McCabe Brooks.

He was 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 inches long. He was born at 1:46 in the afternoon. We are so filled with JOY! Well Luke and I are filled with joy, Leighton isn't so sure what to think about it all.

Contractions started at 9 in the morning, we came to the hospital at 10:45. I was dialated to a 6 at 11:30, a 7 at 12:30 and was ready to push by 1:30. It was a quick labor and I only pushed about 5 times but it was still painful, so saying the words quick and only doesn't really sit well with me! It was well worth it and we consider McCabe quit a blessing!

First Bath!

Psalm 139:13-18

"For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand."

Another Good Bath Time!

Before spending a few days in Osage Beach, MO for the faithwalkers conference Leighton needed a bath! I thought it would be a good idea to have some fun spiking his hair.
