What does Leighton say?
Leighton is very into reading!
He has this book that tells him what different animals say. A cow says MOO, a sheep says BAAA, QUACK says the duck, a horse says, NEIGH. Then at the end of the book, it says ... "It's quiet now, what do you say?"
Everytime we read it Leighton says, "PLEASE!"
So in case you were wondering ...
Cows say MOO
Sheep say BAA
and ....
Leightons say PLEASE!
Don't be fooled it isn't because he is naturally so polite that he says please a lot and has decided that that is the sound that defines him. No No No ...
Whenever Leighton wants something like a toy, a drink of water or to be held, we always say, "What do you say?" He knows that when he hears that phrase, he needs to say PLEASE and then he gets the toy, water, or us to pick him up. So he simply hears the same phrase at the end of the book, "What do you say?" So he responds, please. It is so cute. We usually read it like 10 times in a row because he loves animal noises, is a creature of habit like his mother, and well ... he says PLEASE!
