One of the biggest mistakes I made this summer was only going to the splash park ONE TIME. There are no excuses for this! The kids love it so much and I didn't even have a new born this summer. They all had a blast and were more brave than ever in the water!

Splash Pad with Dad
I haven't made it to the splash park by myself since Wynnlee was born, but Sunday after church we decided to go with some other families.
I enjoyed Luke's help!
The boys enjoyed playing with their dad!
Wynnlee enjoyed a nap in the shade with an occasional misting from the fountains!

Splash Park Round 2
We went to the splash park again on Friday! I am not sure how many trips I have left in me this pregnancy, but I am glad we have gotten to go a couple of times. I love doing things I know that my kids will love. Brooks and McCabe were still pretty cautious and staying right by my side. I think there hesitations are what make the splash possible. I can't image trying to go there with all 3 kids in different directions. So Brooks, McCabe and I, find a spot on the edge to sit and we just watch Leighton enjoy getting wet!
McCabe was in to throwing stuff into the water, but never wanted to get it back out! Here is Leighton braving the fountain to rescue McCabe's fish toy.

First Trip to the Splash Park
We enjoyed beautiful weather at the splash park today. This was our first trip to the splash park this summer and with a baby on the way, we really hope it isn't our last. Leighton loved the water! Last summer, he was very hesitant, but he jumped right in this summer! McCabe and Brooks were surprisingly timid and hardly stepped foot inside the water. Brooks did hold Leighton's hand a few times and jumped around a little.
I love being at the splash park with my little guys. I wish they would have played in the water a little more, but standing around, made my job easier! And the strange thing is that even when some of the kids seem like they aren't having fun, they talk about it non stop until we go again, so it is safe to assume that they enjoy it none-the-less.

Slash Park Video
Leighton is growing more and more brave in the water with the help of a courageous friend, Quinn Rude. And McCabe is still, well, all about throwing things and playing with balls!
Another enjoyable day at the splash park was had by all ... especially by mommy who gets to sit in the water sunning while enjoying my kids!

Splash Park Fun
The splash park is sure to be a lot of fun. With 2 playground areas, 1 splash park, snacks, lunches, balls, toys and good friends, the splash is bound to be a wonderful experience that creates memories, allows for mommy fellowship, and wears out everyone involved.
Meg, Myla, Carla, Rex, (Hidden Kaisa) Harper, Leighton, Quinn, Harrison, Eileen, and McCabe enjoying snack time while we waited to get to go back into the water. Jenny, Owen, Bethany, Isaiah, Malachi, Autumn, Oliver, Dawson, Bianca, Levi, & Celia also enjoyed the splash park with us. I think it is about time for our church to get our own splash park. And I think that this Church Splash Park should have baby swings at the edge of the water, a fence around the perimeter for safety, a beach ball for everykid, heated water, and a free Diet Cherry Coke Vending Machine! I think this could be a great ministry and outreach tool. Seriously!

My sweet sweet Brooks ...

This year, Leighton is getting more brave in the water. He is still cautious and doesn't spend much time in the deeper areas, but he still loves the splash park.

McCabe's wild spirit did not disappoint. He was ALL over the place and of course found balls to throw, hit, kick, splash with, catch, squeeze, suck on, and carry around. But when he has two balls at once, and I asked him to share, he was so quick to share it. What a handsome and delightful, wild man!
