As much work as it is to coordinate family pictures, they are worth every penny. They are so sweet to me. It isn't often than I get a picture of all of my kids, or get out from behind the camera to get into one with them, let alone get one of all 6 of us smiling and put together.
As life continues to fly by at an exponentially increasing rate, I cherish these pictures that capture their sizes, ages, looks, hair styles, and personalities! I cannot believe how quickly they change and grow. Once a year isn't even enough. I plan to try to convince Luke that spring pictures are necessary too!
If it caught you off guard that I said a picture can capture a personality, just check out all the pictures below. You can tell who tries so hard to look at the camera that he forgets to enjoy himself and instead winds up with a cheesy 'smile'. You can tell who gets easily bored and has a hard time sitting still. You can tell who loves the attention.
Leighton is 5 years old. 5 years old! And if that isn't scary enough, he is actually only 3 months shy of being 6. What a handsome boy. We hear all the time that he looks just like Luke. Imagine if Luke still his had his long hair, the resemblance would be even more striking. When Leighton sets him mind to doing something, he does it all the way. Weather it is sweeping, playing with legos, hunting or getting ready to go, he definitely does it with all of his effort, and then some!
McCabe is 4 1/2 years old. He is such a naturally kind hearted boy. He is very gentle and caring towards Wynnlee (not all the time, but it is a lot more than I can say for his brothers!). He also has a great attitude when I ask him to sweep after dinner or help me with something. And if you haven't noticed yet, he is quite photogenic!
Brooks is 3! Fondly known to use as, Brooksy-B, B-Bear, B, B-David, B-Man, Brooksy, Brooksy-Man, or B-Berry-B, he is the man of many nicknames. This soots him well because just like I rarely say his name seriously, he rarely takes anything serious. Even during a serious conversation, prayer or when he is trouble he can found, closing his eyes as tight as he can, making faces, singing over you, or starting to do something else.
Wynnlee is 18 months! We adore having a precious little lady around. Her personality really came out this last couple of months as she started to walk, use toys, feed herself, and talk.
And then there is my husband. Oh how dearly I love him. I love being his wife and being the mother of his kids.
