Wynnlee's and McCabe's Birthday

McCabe turned 6 and Wynnlee turned 3.  We had a great weekend celebrating with both sets of grandparents!

We enjoyed food at Taki Hibachi Grill, Eatery/A, and even dessert at The Cheese Cake Factory.   And my parents took McCabe and Wynnlee on separate dates to target to pick out party items and their very own cake of choice. They both didn't do well here.  Neither one picked out chocolate or carrot cake.  But they did have a great time eating frosting and opening gifts and riding with grandpa and grandpa on a special one-on-one trip.

Happy 3rd Birthday Brooks

Happy 3rd Birthday B-Man!

Every single time one of my children has had a birthday I always find myself saying, "I can't BELIEVE that are already such and such age.  Seriously, with my 4 kids, we have celebrated 13 birthdays and accompanying the obvious joy, is the shocking reality that life is going way too fast.  This time was a little bit different.  Brooks is so big, so lively, so loud, so talkative, to daring, and always keeping pace with his older brothers that I always assume he is older.  When he turned 3 I truly felt like he should be turning 4.  He just seems older.  I guess that is what happens when you are the younger brother.

And for the time as a 3 year old, I introduce to you, Mr. Brooks David Hukee ...

I love being Brooks' Mom.  I look forward to enjoying him as a 3 year old charmer.

McCabe's 3rd Birthday Party

Grandma Nancy and Papa Phil came to Des Moines to celebrate McCabe's 3rd Birthday!  The asked him where he wanted to go for his birthday dinner.  He responded, "the black one," which means P.F. Changs.  We all enjoyed a great meal there, walked around the pond, and opened some gifts!

The next morning Luke and I gave him his gift, a scooter and helmet!

And later that day we went over to Grandma Julie and Papa Bruce's house for a baseball themed cake and a surprise visit from uncle Jake!

I am so delighted to be McCabe's Mom!  He was such a delight this weekend, as he always is!  Happy 3rd Birthday little buddy!
