Brooks is 6

It goes without saying that every year I am shocking that my kids are the age that they are.  Times flies.  We all say it.  We all mean it.  But why do I every year think Brooks is older than he is.  With him, Im like, "he is only 6?"  He seems so old to me.  He does everything his brothers do and plays up divisions in sports with them so that we don't have to have 4 different teams not that Wynnlee is playing too.  He is incredibly smart in math, reading, spelling, phonics, and art.  He is a wiz.  He is wise and mature beyond his years (when he isn't being foolish and immature). Ha.  What I mean to say it that he is normal kid.  He does normal 6 year old things to be sure, but he is also incredibly more advanced than he should be at many many things.  It is shocking and leaves me thinking he is older than he really is.

Wynnlee's and McCabe's Birthday

McCabe turned 6 and Wynnlee turned 3.  We had a great weekend celebrating with both sets of grandparents!

We enjoyed food at Taki Hibachi Grill, Eatery/A, and even dessert at The Cheese Cake Factory.   And my parents took McCabe and Wynnlee on separate dates to target to pick out party items and their very own cake of choice. They both didn't do well here.  Neither one picked out chocolate or carrot cake.  But they did have a great time eating frosting and opening gifts and riding with grandpa and grandpa on a special one-on-one trip.

Leighton's 6th Birthday

I really thought Leighton turning 6 would be less of a big deal that turning 5.  5 and 10 seem to be such milestones that I didn't anticipate 6 feeling too crazy.  But I was wrong.  A 6 year old sounds so old! And I have one of them now! And I am so delighted about Leighton's 6 year old life.

Science Center

Leighton wanted to go to the Science Center to celebrate his birthday.  We don't go very often so it always seems like there is new stuff to try!
